מחשבה ממושכת מביאה את האמן להכרה שהוא אינו מקור היצירה היוצאת מתחת ידיו, אלא יש בעולם רק יוצר אחד שממנו באמת בא הכל. ואחרי מחשבה ממושכת עוד יותר הוא מגיע למסקנה הבאה בתור: שגם הקהל שאליו מכוונת היצירה הוא, בסופו של דבר, לא בני אדם אחרים אלא אותו יוצר עליון, כי הוא היחיד שיכול להבין, להעריך, ולשפוט במלואה את האמנות שבאה ממנו, ושבה אנחנו, בין אם בתפקיד פעיל או סביל, רק אורחים.
Careful reflection brings the artist to recognize that he is not the origin of the artwork created by his hands, but rather, that only one creator exists in the world from whom everything truly comes. And after further reflection he reaches the next conclusion: that the audience, too, at which the artwork is aimed, is ultimately not other people but the same supreme creator, who is the only one who can fully understand, appreciate, and judge the art that originates from him, in which we, whether in an active or a passive role, are merely guests.
