חולשתה הגדולה של הדמוקרטיה היא היותה סיפור משעמם שאין לו סוף: דבר שקל מאוד למות ממנו, אבל קשה מאוד למות למענו. להיות חלק ממנה זה כמו ליפול קורבן לטרחן שנטפל אליך ומדבר רק כדי לשמוע את עצמו, וכמו במקרה שלו כך גם במקרה שלה, אנשים תמיד מוכנים לנצל כל שעת כושר כדי להימלט ממנה, ותמיד מסתכלים מעבר לכתפה בתקווה למצוא משהו מעניין יותר.
The biggest weakness of democracy is that it is a boring story that has no ending: something very easy to die from, but very hard to die for.
