The event has been added to the calendar. It will take place in a few days and leave just like it came, without leaving a trace, as if it had never happened. This does not mean that the event is unimportant, only that its importance is very small and local, and cannot survive any exit from its boundaries; on the other hand, the fact that the event has real importance within those boundaries must not mislead us into the erroneous thought that something of that importance can exist outside them. The event is merely one of those that exist as a place to say "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die" – and the one who says it louder than any other participant, and also means to keep this word more than anyone else, is the event itself.
